Team Hands On Physical Therapy
Team Hands-On Physical Therapy was formed by the owner of Hands-On Physical Therapy, Ken Pavlinec, in 2007 with the idea of promoting health and wellness among the community. The inaugural team consisted of 12 team members from their late teens to their mid 40’s that raced in the Belmar 5 Mile. The team schedule varies distances from a 2 Mile run to the 26.2 Mile Marathon. The race days vary, as well, from mostly weekends to occasional weekdays to accommodate all schedules. Training is currently done by the individual but future group runs are planned.
The ability of each team member is irrelevant because they are all unique individuals with different goals of fitness. The team has some members that compete in no more than a 5K race and others that compete in marathons nationally. The team does not discriminate and all people are welcome. All they ask for is a commitment to run and be supportive. In return, Hands-On Physical Therapy provides team uniform and will annually subsidize all races run by each team member. The camaraderie and support that only being part of a unified and cohesive team makes each athlete’s individual goals easier to achieve.
Remember, there is no “I” in the word “TEAM”. Hands-On Physical Therapy is the title sponsor. They look forward to adding local business sponsorship. This will assist in team gear.
