History of Hands On Physical Therapy

Hands On Physical Therapy - Our History

Ken Pavlinec, PT, Cert MDT founded Hands-On Physical Therapy in 2003 and today remains the sole financial owner. In 2007, Valerie Dellocono joined Ken to be the director of her own facility.

Ken and Val graduated together from Quinnipiac University in 1996. Ken envisioned the opening of a New Jersey based practice that would set the standard for providing high quality physical therapy care. Valerie shared this vision and together they strive to provide this care in an ethical and systematic manner.

Hands-On Physical Therapy added  FREE pre-operative education classes for total knee and hip replacements in 2005. This class was offered to the community because of documented research. The study stated that better outcomes are obtained if the patient knows all aspects of their rehab prior to their surgery. This class is rehab based and not what a typical hospital provides. We care that you achieve your maximum potential and it’s FREE. Call to schedule this class about 3-4 weeks prior to surgery.

Hands-On Physical Therapy does not look to grow quickly, like corporate chains do, which results in inferior inexperienced care with high employee turnover. We look forward to grow with our clients and add quality equipment, space, and locations with only the best of employees and therapists hired. Our staff is family and we look forward to joining our clients in their mission of good health and wellness.
